“Volunteering with the mlambe project has been a wonderful, diverse experience. It’s amazing to be part of a small, close knit organisation communicating directly with a fantastic community in Malawi. I have learnt a great deal about how innovation can empower and have been lucky enough to see projects develop which make real change. The welcoming community spirit feeling within the charity is nurturing, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.”

Volunteering with Mlambe
As a small organisation our volunteers mean a great deal to us and can help make important contributions to the work that we support in Malawi.
As Kat, above, found, volunteering with Mlambe is a rewarding experience. It’s an opportunity to become an integral part of our agile team, connect with like-minded people, and uncover more about the role we play in international development, and creating real and sustainable change.
Current volunteer needs
Raising funds is fundamental to our success. With the COVID-19 situation, many major donors no longer have the incomes they had to keep giving at the high level they were and trusts and foundations, who make grants to us, have lost much of their investments, reducing the pool of money available.
We need someone to help us research grants that we can still apply for and line them up like ducks for our fundraising team to make applications to.
The suitable person will be a great Googler and enjoy skim-reading and sifting through annual reports of other organisations and grant-makers to discover new opportunities for us.
